My primary role at Learnlight is crafting and executing the vision around our products and services, with a view to being innovative, lean, and agile enough to drive positive disruption of the EdTech space. In practical terms, that means leading the strategy, design and development of our cloud-based learning platform and associated services, leading our management team, defining our operational architecture, guiding company-wide change projects, and managing the team's performance across a range of strategic KPIs.

I was responsible for several areas at Training Express: First, designing and developing innovative products and services that deliver true market differentiation. Second, leading our management team through the ongoing and often complex change that comes with year-on-year double-digit growth. And third, architecting the operational standards and management systems that enable us to work quickly and effectively across the organization.

Breakthrough Learning & Development offered language and management skills training programs to help Spanish business people succeed at an international level. During this period I built-up a team of some 30+ people working with clients like Mango, Bacardi, Unilever, Siemens etc. Breakthrough L&D merged with Training Express in 2007.

Niima was a .com start-up with an international team from a range of backgrounds, including business, medicine, politics, law, and technology. The aim of the venture was to combine epidemiological research findings on alternative and conventional treatments with web-based decision-support tools to help patients make more informed decisions. Ultimately Niima became a casualty of the .com crash, but the experience remains one of my more educational!

Gartner, Inc. is the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company. I started as a Research Analyst and then Research Director at Decision Drivers, a subsidiary of Gartner in the US. After moving back to the UK, I was responsible for the development of Gartner's software and web-based decision tools (Vendor Selection, TCO, etc).
