About Rupert Whitley

I'm an IT professional with broad and deep experience of DevOps, agile, Product Management, Digital Transformation and cloud services delivery.I am passionate about agile and lean practices, not just within IT, but throughout the enterprise. Accordingly I'm experienced in using and adapting many agile frameworks, including SCRUM, Kanban methods and scaled agile (e.g. SAFe), in small medium and large enterprises.I've been working in and with Operations, DevOps and Software Development teams for over 15 years, introducing and growing capabilities, internally and for client teams.In this time I've successfully delivered new services, managed large scale changes and high impact projects. I've designed the supporting processes to assist in service implementation and ongoing support and I've transformed reactive teams, mired in toil, into agile, collaborative, delivery teams, which integrate better with business and service development initiatives.I've managed cloud migrations to both AWS and Azure as well as hybrid managed service offerings.My background is in system administration, senior IT Management and DevOps Consultancy.Whilst I do little hands on engineering at present, I've retained my interest in systems architecture and design, particularly in public cloud solutions.
