 Built a brand-new data science capability from scratch, including recruitment, selection and training to create unique capabilities in Solution Engineering, Data Engineering, Decision Engineering, Methods Engineering, Deployment Engineering along with the administrative and leadership support for the area. Provided leadership for the provisioning of modern infrastructure and methodologies to facilitate data science solutions (Smart Anonymization, AWS, H2O.ai, Driverless AI) around it. Established industry recognized insurance data science capability with new Data Scientists to deliver solutions for Claims, Pricing and Underwriting using NLP, predictive modelling, simulation, optimization, etc. Worked with client teams to drive change management and higher adoption of solutions delivered by leveraging Machine Learning Interpretability using concepts like kLIME and SHAP. Worked with Global Business Development team towards procurement of clients for the Data Science group. Supported large bid pursuits that implicated AI solution elements. Managed Client/Stakeholder Expectations and Communications worldwide (US, Australia, Europe).

 Managed a team of 45 Analysts and Data Scientists engaged with 4 clients across US, Australia and Europe, working on 10+ projects per year in varied fields ranging from CAT modelling, Claims Internal Fraud, Credit Control, Staff Need Forecasts, Customer profiling, etc.  Formulated specific projects, prototypes and pilots based on understanding of business needs and opportunities. Advocated for data-centric business practices and adoption of best applications and common infrastructure.  Led Campus recruitment drive in top B-schools of India for plucking the right talent with analytical bent of mind.

 Served as Primary delivery lead and engagement manager for projects in CAT modelling, Credit Control and Staff Need Forecasts. Successfully converted pilot into annuity and grew revenue by 100% within 12 months. Developed and continuously enhanced predictive models, strategies, processes and control for mitigating credit risk exposure using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques. Designed client communication and serving strategies to ensure positive experience of clients at all touch points.  For the first time led training and campus recruitment for Decision Analytics team.

 Led team of catastrophe modelers for research and production for top P&C client Thought Leadership Pieces: ‘US Tsunami risk’ and ‘Climate Change vs Extreme Event Frequency’ Helped Actuaries decide factors to adjust modeled numbers to reflect claims experience of insurer. Built process for presenting risk for rating agencies (A M Best, Moody, S&P). Actively Participated in Data & Analytics training and campus recruitment.

 Lead Cat Modeling Team - Portfolio impact reports to underwriters and brokers discussions. Assisting clients in the understanding of risks, sensitivity studies, and added analytics. Worked with Products teams to build data extraction tools for background RMS, AIR and IF tables.

 Executed ad-hoc Catastrophe Model analysis (Risk Analysis) for Underwriters and Brokers. Prepared Property exposure data for CAT Model analyses using data conversion and database tools. Developed and used proprietary software to design and test reinsurance programs.
