Responsibility for complete business cycle and P&L of Medium and Low Voltage Switchgear plant, SCADA, Control & Automation, LV components, Bus Ducts, Smart Metering and Turnkey Substations projects in SEAP & Africa.Successfully lead transition subsequent to acquisition by re-positioning, resulting in turnaround of a 5y loss making unit to a double digit EBIT in 2 years. Set up a new state of the art Switchgear manufacturing plant in west Java. Sustainability commitment by installing zero-discharge green plant; lauded by stakeholders. Business grew >700% over 6y, improving market rank from 48th to 3rd position. Achieved material costs reduction from 84% to 68% through implementation programs of benchmarking, TQM, 5S. Employee attrition rate below 3%. Key success factor was Re-positioning from low margin building/construction segment to high margin utility, O&G, industrial and mining. Developed 40% order intake from exports by frame contracts with large OEMs like Cummins, Hitachi, Alstom, Ssangyong, GS. Set up an effective supply chain extending over distributors, coil centers, major accounts, stockpoints, warehouse financing institutions, traders, shipping liners in Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia.
