Started my own company, got away from the franchise thing focusing exclusively on Small Business IT Support. Latest focus is the seminar presentation and implementation of a CyberSecurity plan to thwart attackers. We perform Cloud Analysis on your business to determine if it is in your best interest to have part/all/none of your business in the cloud. We also have cloud solutions available depending on our findings. The other initiative is Backup, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity for Microsoft Servers. We focus on being able to have you up and running within 24-48 hours after a disaster wiping your office off the planet. We also provide computer repair, network design, virus removal, backup and data recovery services for clients in the Houston Metro area.

Business owner that provided IT support for residential and occasionally small businesses. Performed roles which included: technician, HR, accounting, sales and marketing. We performed such tasks as Network Design, VIrus Removal, Computer Repair and Data Recovery.

Responsible for datacenter relocation, office consolidation and platform migration projects. Technically responsible for consolidation of mail (using the same mail client and the same mail server) from multi-platforms and multi mail clients. Also responsible for tracking inventory, workstation/laptop setup and physical organization of the building space. Migrated clients before the deadline from Macintosh Imac to Windows 2000 Professional; which included mail migration from Apple Eudora to Outlook XP. This was performed with minimal impact to the end user.Performed server and desktop management duties including writing operational procedures, setting file server permissions, planning backup jobs and rolling out virus control.; Co-Architected and installed infrastructure for the business side of an e-commerce site. Windows 2000 Server, SQL 2000, Message queuing (MSMQ), IIS, and COM+ were the key system components. COMPAQ Servers were used for this e-commerce site after some of their BIOS options were modified.Designed, implemented and documented build and release management procedures for accounting and order processing business applications. Implemented automated backup, performance alerts and monitoring of servers including SQL Database, IIS and Application servers.

Architected and installed infrastructure for a multi-million dollar e-commerce site for the leading provider of student travel in the United States. Windows 2000 server, SQL 7.0, COM+ and indexing services were the key system components.Developed documented build and release management procedures for customer.Acted as liaison between customer and development team to achieve consensus on site security standards used in application developed for customer. Enhanced development team productivity and reduced customer downtime by designing and implementing automated Visual Basic scripts.

Co-architected for a major web hosting company, a revolutionary way to offer dedicated service for small to medium sized companies. Areas worked on included: Simultaneously imaging 90 servers Implementing Client/Server backup solution and Configuring Ethernet and serial switches. Was also responsible for recommending Switch, Tape Backup hardware and Backup software vendor's products. IBM and Fujitsu servers were configured for this project.Saved millions of dollars for clients in software licensing fees by performing a Software Value Assessment Service for customers including the Federal Reserve Bank. This enabled the clients to determine the usage of all of their installed software. Unutilized and redundant software was eliminated.

Project manager and team participant in two Availability Management Studies where all aspects of a datacenter were analyzed to identify single point failures and potential operational problems. Recommendations to correct known problems areas were provided to the customer.Sold and technically delivered SUN software/hardware installation and configuration services. Co-manager and team participant in project to design, install, and configure five Microsoft NT 4.0 nodes with Amdahl external RAID storage.Qualified opportunities for Amdahl Customer Services Division in connection with Amdahl marketing team. Assisted writing customer contracts and then performed project management duties as well as technical delivery of services.Managed a project to relocate a datacenter for the U.S. Naval Medical Command.Assisted Bell Atlantic with network problem determination with protocols varying from X.25 to TCP/IP.Modified IBM Operating System VM assembler code in order to allow it to run on Amdahl Hardware platforms.

Designed and implemented new products and features as well as performed maintenance in system management products for the IBM VM platform.
