The Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) is a national program sponsored by the Advanced Manufacturing Office, under the Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EREE) of the Department of Energy (DOE). The USDOE Industrial Assessment Centers (IACs) can help small and medium-sized US manufacturers save energy, improve productivity, and reduce waste by providing no-cost technical assessments conducted by university-based teams of engineering students and faculty. Our center got a $1.75M grant from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Delivered a comprehensive report to companies, resulting in approximately $4.6 million in cost savings. Utilized advanced technical equipment and data analysis to provide recommendations on air compressor leaks, boiler efficiency, HVAC systems, power factor optimization, process improvement, and waste management.

I worked with Professor Rattaya Yalamanchili on this guided research on the topic of "System Engineering" and its applicability in many sectors. I reviewed the NASA System Engineering Handbook and other relevant materials to carry out our study on "Incorporating/ Defining Systems Engineering in the Development of a Medical Industry, Defense or Aerospace Technology."

Drafting and monitoring engineering metrics for securing a WHO approved 'Good Manufacturing Practices' certificate.• Analyzed and supervised calibration of all different equipment also Validation of high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter. • Managed warehouse installation and documentation. • Made preventive maintenance checklist for all department’s equipment. • Integrated engineering related work includes water treatment, boiler house, Utility area.

• Researched and produced drug ‘Iron Protein Succinyalte’ at Laboratory scale. • Learned iron metabolism for understanding drug mechanism. • Performed an intricate physical, chemical and microbial analysis on the raw material. • Analyzed and operated HPLC (High performance Liquid Chromatography) system and analyzed TOC (Total organic carbon load) in water sample.

• Understand product flow of iron (III) hydroxide polymaltose complex. • Performed mass and energy balance of the process and submitted it to engineering department• Engaged in Quality control and assurance of iron (III) hydroxide polymaltose complex and also understand piping and instrumentation diagram (P & ID).
