As the Director of Public Relations at Young Black Entrepreneur Magazine, I manage campaigns, advise senior executives, handle crises, speak at national events, and coordinate strategies across departments. I also create strategic plans for both short-term campaigns and long-term objectives.

As Women’s Professional Basketball Alumnae (WPBA) Founder and President/CEO, I created the organization to support women transitioning from professional basketball in the WNBA or FIBA into mainstream society. Having experienced the challenges of going from a star athlete to finding my identity outside the game, I focused on mental wellness, financial literacy, job placement, educational advancement, and social skills enhancement. I oversaw cause-related marketing efforts, built key relationships to serve over 1,000 youth, and ran the Sparks Youth Basketball Program. I also led staff, coaches, and interns, ensuring compliance with policies while supporting their development and mentorship.

As a member of the STAR EMBA, a custom executive M.B.A. Program that provides intensive training in business analysis for athletes, entertainers, and others with elite personal brands. Focusing on leadership, success strategies and social responsibility, the STAR EMBA program is the first fully accredited M.B.A. curriculum in this field and provides students with customized experiences designed to fit their non-traditional schedules and backgrounds. Students attend classes in Washington, DC, New York and Los Angeles over an 18-month period allowing them access to some of the top business and philanthropy leaders.

During her 10-year career with FIBA Europe, Rushia Brown showcased relentless drive and leadership on the court. She excelled in Spain and France for two years each before mastering the game in Italy for four years, leaving a lasting impact. Beyond basketball, Rushia's commitment to excellence extended to mastering Spanish, French, and Italian, reflecting her dedication to immersing herself in different cultures. Her adaptability, leadership, and inspirational qualities both on and off the court, cemented her status as a true agent in the world of sports.

Throughout her remarkable tenure with the Cleveland Rockers, where she was a founding member, she played six successful seasons and became a cornerstone of the team and a fan favorite.
