Working as a management trainee for Enterprise rent a car I have been able to gain the skills and knowledge I would require to run a business of my own. The skills developed are in a number of areas; one being sales which is a big part of the day to day running of the business including selling of insurance packages as well as selling upgrades and additional products to customers. Marketing the business to generate fleet growth and increase revenue, within my first year I opened 3 new corporate accounts and another in negotiation as I left. I have been able to develop and maintain relationships with all my accounts as well as managing a further 7 accounts made up of existing corporate accounts, dealerships and bodyshop’s. In addition I have had to manage and maintain customer service levels and also financially improve my skills through collection of outstanding monies from local and national accounts to making sure payments for existing balances are all collected to meet the deadline. At the time I was most senior trainee at my branch I had the opportunity to train new trainees on their skills and knowledge. As well as help them work through their management development manual, all at the same time posting the highest Enterprise Service Quality Index (ESQI) in North city at 92%.
