My practice centers on state and federal litigation, risk management, and alternative dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration). I concentrate on real estate, construction and complex commercial matters, representing developers, owners, landlords and tenants, contractors, engineers and vendors, as well as other commercial concerns and interests, in pre-litigation dispute resolution, work outs, risk management, claims avoidance, contract negotiation of construction-related agreements, common and complex litigation, appeals and alternative dispute resolution procedures. I also represent financial institutions, businesses and individuals in a variety of disputes arising out of business and lending relationships. I have also served as interim general counsel for a national hospitality client managing litigation and contracting issues.I am admitted to practice law in the state courts of Georgia and Texas, and have been admitted pro hac vice in Alabama and North Carolina. On the federal level, I am admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Texas, and the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Georgia.I have organized and presented numerous seminars presented by the Georgia Institute of Continuing Legal Education, construction industry organizations, and other continuing education providers regarding liens, builder warranties, construction issues and ethical considerations. I have served as a Trustee of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education of Georgia, and chaired state bar and construction industry committees.
