About Russ Colbert

Russ began his career in the US Navy specializing in telecommunications and information technology. Following graduation at Auburn University and Officer Candidate School was commissioned as an Ensign. Assigned to USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) was responsible for Communications, Combat and Deck Departments obtaining the trusted qualification Officer of the Deck Underway. The love of the IT community and completing the Advanced Education Program (AEP) allowed assumption of responsibility as Video Conferencing/Video Teletraining Officer. In this position, budget management, network operations, technical management, solution selection, course transitions and return upon investment were top of mind. After military service, continuing in this career path with VTEL, Polycom, Cisco and Zoom has allowed continued knowledge growth and leadership experience.
