As of August 1, 2022 I retired from Anaplan, enterprise software, and a 35 year career. I have recently taken the requisite coursework to sit for the Certified Financial Planning exam and I passed it in November, 2021. I intend to take at least a year (or two) off to experience this beautiful planet, spend time with my wife, kids, new grandson, do some work in the entertainment industry and explore some new interests before I start a new career in financial planning. The last 23 years of enterprise software sales experience including six years as an Account Executive at Infinium Software and then PeopleSoft followed by seventeen years in sales leadership at PeopleSoft, SAP, Workday and Anaplan. The last year and a half at Anaplan I joined the deals desk focusing on large, strategic contracts for the company. Prior to this I was a CPA and worked for Ersnt & Young followed by a fascinating seven years working for the Perot family as a tax CPA, special projects coordinator, and one-time political operative during the 1992 Perot campaign for the Presidency.
