I've spent a decade implementing the world's most progressive energy policy at one of America's largest electricity providers, and am eager to use this expertise to help companies solve problems that accelerate decarbonization.

Remote Grid - Led work to invest in enterprise software needed to scale PG&E's most innovative electricity offering at scale. Moving the needle on California's wildfire risk with Remote Grid, one of PG&E's most innovative services. What if we served remote customers in the highest fire risk areas by installing solar panels, batteries, and propane generation, and then permanently removed the power lines to reduce the chance of sparking catastrophic wildfires. I'm leading efforts to turn this Remote Grid into business as usual by delivering business capabilities via IT investments and preparing operations to accommodate hundreds of Remote Grid systems by 2030.

- Product strategy development for data products on PG&E's enterprise data management platform; a centerpiece of PG&E's transformation to behave like a digital-native company. - Led Product Management, Scrum Master, and Agile Coaching practices to teams build the right thing, and build it together.

Product Manager for transformational data products that drive wildfire risk reduction.

- Led development of the business case for a $500 million investment in grid management technology while PG&E underwent bankruptcy proceedings.- Led development of multi-year release planning for technology that transforms grid operations.

- Launched PG&E's Wildfire Safety Operations Center (now Hazard Awareness & Warning Center) in response to the October 2017 wildfire storm. Developed and implemented a hiring strategy to rapidly build a new department from scratch. Instilled a learning culture.- Led wildfire event investigation.

- 11 month rotation as a Supervisor in PG&E's Central Electric Distribution Control Center, which has over 50 Operators and is responsible for control of the distribution grid in the greater Bay Area including Silicon Valley, stretching along central coast to San Luis Obispo. - Served as the control center liaison for emerging technology pilots.- Developed and delivered training for control centers to meet CAISO requirements for PG&E's first distribution grid-connected market participating battery.- Spent 2 months supervising engineers responsible for supporting complex grid operational conditions.

- Led project team that won of PG&E's 2016 innovation award (Margaret Mooney Award for Innovation)- Responsible for new control systems that drive grid efficiency and enable the adoption of Distributed Energy Resources (solar PV, electric vehicles, energy storage). Focused on emerging technologies that in the early adoption stage with electric utilities. Responsible for technology selection, solution design and introduction, business case validation, and long run solution strategy.- Led a team of 15 technical and business staff.- Led PG&Es $40M multi-year evaluation of Volt Var Optimization and Distributed Energy Resource Management System solutions.

Electric Operations – Smart Grid- Led benefits analysis efforts to underpin the business case for piloting and implementation of smart grid technology on PG&E's distribution system. Acted as deputy to the PG&E Product Manager (i.e., Business Lead) for the new technology being evaluated. - Contributed to development of company smart grid strategy and funding applications to the California Public Utilities Commission.Customer Energy Solutions – Customer Programs- Developed company strategy for electrification of non-road transport energy uses in PG&E’s service territory; work presented to CEO and C-level executives.Gas Operations – Investment Strategy & Planning- Coordinated development of Gas Operations’ 5-year strategic plan to make PG&E the safest and most reliable gas company in the U.S. - Collaborated with Officers and Directors to build strategy and ensure alignment across PG&E.- Supported the Sr. Director of Asset Knowledge Management in leading adoption of agile development methods to develop improved procedures for field and office workers. This initiative was key to improving the safety of PG&E’s gas system.

Electric Operations - Smart Grid- Contributed to development of utility smart grid strategy.Gas Operations- Evaluated overtime, spans of control, and layers of management as drivers of organizational effectiveness in large gas transmission and distribution companies.

- Managed projects delivering work to EDF Energy (formerly British Energy) and Magnox, two UK nuclear power plant operators. - Promoted early to an engineering supervisory role, managing a team of five engineers. - Joined EDF Energy’s Anglo-French nuclear power startup in a staff augmentation role. Managed key projects enabling EDF Energy’s application to the UK Government for approval to build four new nuclear power plants. Application submitted on schedule.

Collaborated with skilled labor, design engineers, project controls, and plant operations to make major modifications at nuclear power plants and construct new facilities at fossil power plants at four U.S. locations.

Received an honorable discharge due to a shoulder injury incurred during training. Completed nuclear power training ranked in the top 15% of the training class.
