I am a self-motivated, focussed and dedicated construction professional, who has the ability to inspire and manage construction and professional teams, and to deliver projects which achieve excellent health and safety performance and consistently high standards of quality.During my construction career, I have gained experience in new-build concrete and steel framed buildings, refurbishment and fast-track commercial fit-outs, in healthcare, education, leisure and data centre schemes and on projects for central government.In my current role as Operations Director responsible for MSecure, Mace's secure construction specialist within the growing Defence & Security business sector, I have overall responsible for delivery, covering construction, refurbishment and fit out projects globally and often in hostile environments. In all cases, these projects meet or exceed both local and British standards of health and safety, and are delivered in accordance with the ISO 9001-accredited Mace Way. In 2016, the team received a ROSPA silver award for safety performance.Working my way up from site management, I have a rounded knowledge of the industry, from business development and relationship management, through the tender process, pre-construction, design management, project and construction management and through to handover and close-out. My commercial acumen is well-developed and I am a strong leader, managing my team's professional development, undertaking stakeholder negotiations and working closely with the supply chain to undertake value engineering exercises.By bringing an honest, consistent and collaborative approach to everything I do, I have built up an excellent reputation within the industry with clients, professional practises and trade contractors. I recognises the value of these relationships and work with these contacts on a regular basis, achieving repeat business orders both in the UK & in International markets.
