Daily sales management of existing accounts and acquisition of new accounts.

Responsible for developing and maintaining client base for Coppersmith's nationwide offices which included Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Memphis and New York. Developed inbound logistics paradigms for our varied clientele which included but were not limited to Inbound Ocean/Air Freight, Customs Brokerage, Door Delivery, Warehousing, & 3PL, highlighted by tracking/tracing and customization meeting the specific requirments of the US Impoter.

Responsible for growing local mom & pop Customhouse Broker with a 45+ year history in the local Memphis market to a full scale freight forwarder, NVOCC and layered logistics provider. Added two additional offices during my tenure, New York and Los Angeles, and increased sales/revenue upwards of 700%. Received accolades from local and nationwide importers for innovation, creativity and branding, increasing both HYC's visibilty and presence and thereby enabling the company to become a stronger contender for local market share. Enjoyed a unique and comprehensive seven year relationship with TEREX CORPORATION where I worked closely with then VP of Operations Mike Stanley and then COO Murray Scott. Single-handedly redesigned the VOR and non-VOR programs from Motherwell, Scotland to the TEREX facility in Southaven as well as to Terex' end users with equipment in the field. It was a dynamic, innovative program that came from sheer ingenuity and meeting a customer-driven need, reducing the wait time on parts replenishment from 5 days to 1-2 and 2-3 days transit respectively, critical to TEREX' success. Two subsequent articles were published on this accomplishment, one in the JOC (2000) and one in American Shipper Magazine (2001).
