Based in the Hills District in Sydney, the association has the highest participation rates in NSW.I have been on the HBA Board since 2006, serving as Vice President from 2007 thru May 2018, after which I took on the role of President. Having been involved as a player, referee, coach, parent and passionate spectator, I am privileged to lead the board responsible for direction and oversight of business outcomes, sporting development and our community contributions. HBA operates one of the premier basketball facilities in NSW. I was able to contribute to the recently completed basketball stadium extension project, working with HBA staff, volunteers and our Local Council, which demonstrated the power of community led change projects. Our response to growth issues extends beyond new facilities, to modernising our governance model and implementing best-practice business approaches suited to non-profit sporting organisations. I was responsible for developing a Cloud Migration Strategy and a Cloud Migration Program plan.- Program Architect: Multi-year program at a national publishing company to transform their internal finance capabilities and operations. The outcome was to create more efficient and consistent business structures and processes, while improving commercial decision support across 17 businesses through the establishment of centralised shared service centres based on the JD Edwards platform.- Program/Solution Architect: Multi-year program at a national publishing company to transform their editorial capabilities and operations for 17 businesses across Australia, with hundreds of publications across newspapers, magazines and online web sites which service audiences in metropolitan, regional and community locations.
