For a large, growing (now regional) non profit housing development corporation. Direct and manage development activities including single family/fee simple and multi-family developments. Also provide program management and leadership to the activities the corporation operate such as a large Self-Help Housing Program, The Home Repair Project, Transitional Housing, Preservation and other programs to address the needs of low and very low income families in the search for affordable housing solutions. Responsible for developing proformas for development and budgets for program activities, also including securing/obtaining funding for both activities. Also be proactive in the community and local governments to address affordable housing issues on a policy level.

For a large local non profit housing development corporation. Direct and manage a large USDA Self-Help Housing Program, and revitalization efforts including acquisition and rehabilitation of affordable housing units and owner occupied rehabilitation. Also manage and implement other housing program initiatives. Supervise and manage staff to meet program goals and meet our agency’s mission. Responsible for applying for program funds to meet fiscal needs. Manage a budget of over $600,000 annually in the Home Ownership Department. Participate and act as a team leader within the staff to provide direction for client recruitment, loan packaging, community development, construction management and every other aspect of our Home Ownership Department. Responsible for hiring, firing and training staff. Member of the Senior Management Team.

For a nationally recognized organization, providing technical and management assistance to self-help housing organizations under a USDA funded program in 21 states. Function as a liaison and monitor between the USDA and non profit organizations to assess program efficiency, resolve conflicts, and provide solutions for goal attainment. Assist site personnel with fiscal management, resourcing and leveraged dollars, tracking and maintaining costs within budget, generating grant/loan applications, and recruiting eligible participants for homeownership. Responsible for staff training, scheduling, and organizational planning to meet housing development initiatives. Additionally responsible for planning annual conferences attended by USDA officials, existing and potential non-profit agencies.
