With 20-years at the State Department as an economics officer in the Foreign Service, I am a passionate advocate for sustainable development. I have served various tours in the Foreign Service including negotiating the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the United Nations, working on the clean energy transition with Canadian counterparts, and currently overseeing a team working on U.S. initiatives to assist low- and middle-income countries in developing quality and sustainable infrastructure. I have also overseen foreign assistance to Uzbekistan on countering human trafficking and anti-corruption, taught international relations at West Point, and reported on Germany’s policies to address the eurozone crisis. Prior jobs have included as a database programmer, a day trader on Wall Street, a physics researcher, and a Peace Corps volunteer in Fiji.
