Employed as a Construction Manager, reporting directly to the Managing Director I am responsible for 3 developments:1. 835 apartments and houses in Portsmouth. 310 timber frame houses, and 525 apartments in 9 blocks from 5 to 14 storeys high.2. 154 apartments in Brighton in 2 blocks of 10 storeys3. 28 apartments in Southampton in 2 blocks of 4 storey.All the developments are Reinforced Concrete frame with various types of cladding ranging from brickwork to 4 hour fire proof sheeting.As well as the managing of the site teams, I am also responsible for scheduling all the materials needed for the developments, providing quantities and deliver dates for materials and subcontract labour.I also manage the clients we build the homes for, meeting on a monthly basis presenting fully detailed Contractors Reports, updated construction programmes and financial updates.

I commenced employment with Drew Smith Limited as a Project Manager based on a site in Graylingwell. The project consisted of 6 phases , 2 in build and 4 left to start.In July 2021 the opportunity rose to take on the role of Contruction Manager for 4 developments. 3 developments were contract build and 1 was a Drew Smith Limited development in Pagham, West Sussex.The day to day duties included:1. Attendance to weekly Contracts Manager meetings with the Construction Director and Operations Director to discuss progress against programme, subcontractor issues and material issues.2. Managing the client projects, chairing client meetings, issuing programme and updates, agreeing variations, managing contract particulars.3. Managing the site teams (currently I have 12 employees across 4 developments) and monitoring programmes, forecasted completion dates, coordinating the design and commercial teams.4. Dealing with local residents and managing any complaints.5. Attending weekly build/sales meeting to discuss forecasted completion/CML dates and any customer care issues.

Employed as a Construction Manager on a development of 77 homes in Leatherhead. The development was on the side of a hill and had many challenges. Many of the houses had been designed as retaining structures. The site also had other wall designs, RC, brick and gabion baskets.Prior to my arrival on the development BHSL was in dispute with the Architects and Engineers for the development Responsible for the day to day running of the development and also the commercial and technical teams based on site. The construction team was 1 Senior Site Manager, 2 Assistant Site Managers, 2 forklift drivers, 3 labourers and 1 COVID 19 labourer.The development remained open through the lockdown period and it introduced various restrictions in line with guidance from CLC and PHE. It was my role to induct the contractors that remained in the new guidelines and restrictions of social distancing.

After leaving Silver Homes Limited I was approached by a company in Brighton to undertake some building works on a couple of education projects in the area. I started as a freelance Construction Project Manager and completed the works.I was then approached by a company called Squirrel Malkin Beautiful Homes Limited. They needed somebody to oversee some projects in South London. In the time as Clement Construction I completed the following projects:1. 10,500 sqft house in SW19 – Working directly for a private client.2. 75,000 sqft house in Jabriya, Kuwait City, Kuwait – working for an Interior design company/private client.3. 9,400 sqft house in Cobham, Surrey – Working directly for a private client.4. 7,000 sqft house refurbishment in Cobham, Surrey – Working directly for a private client.5. Various office and factory refurbishment works for a contractor in Brighton.

This was a 6 month contract to provide Construction Manager services on a number of ongoing projects in East Sussex.

Employed as Construction Director (Designate) for developments in Sussex, Surrey and Kent.I was responsible for 10 live projects and had 2 Contracts Managers as part of the team. I had to produce weekly management reports to ensure programmes were being achieved. I worked closely with the head of customer services to ensure that the houses were signed off by the team before occupation.As part of the overall management team for the region I had to visit all new opportunities and produce a construction sequence and prelim budget.

Promoted to the position of Construction Director, I joined an established management team at another region.I was responsible for a number of projects in the South East of England. They ranged from executive homes in Beckenham, Kent to the regeneration of Peckham as part of the regeneration scheme.As part of my role I was responsible for the Customer Services team and together we managed the commissioning of the new homes prior to occupation and the 2 year defect period.I had to produce the initial construction programmes and preliminary budgets and report against these at monthly board meetings.

Employed as a Building Manager looking after 5 developments in South London.In addition to housing developments I also looked after 2 high rise developments in Balham and Putney, the tallest of which was 11 storeys with a supermarket store on the ground floor.The role was to assist the site team with the management of the subcontractors, attend all pre start meetings and design meetings. I also had to chair the monthly on site project team meetings and ensure that any matters raised were addressed to avoid programme delays.

Employed as a Building Manager to look after 5 developments in West London. The projects were all high specifications. 4 of the projects were refurbishments and 1 new build. All were apartments with the most prestigious being in St James Square, Piccadilly, a development of 10 luxury apartments in the old Hawker Sidley building.I left Berkeley Homes Surrey after an office relocation meant I was travelling to Datchett every day before driving into the West End.

Initially employed as a Surveyor I was offered the opportunity to become the Area Contracts Manager for 3 developments in Docklands.In total the three projects were located in Rotherhithe and Limehouse consisted of 216 apartments, 10 houses and 6 refurbished cottages.I was based on site and had a team of Surveyors and Site Managers. I had to attend the regional board meetings to report on the developments progress and budgets as I effectively reported to 2 directors.

Employed as a Surveyor on an office and car park project in Brentford.

Employed as an Area Surveyor for large housing projects in the northern Home Counties.The role was to meet with the contractors on a weekly basis and agree the valuations, produce the payment certificates and ensure the contractor was paid. I also had to tender the works, agree the subcontract and place the order with the contractor.

Employed as an Estimator/Surveyor I reported directly to the Senior Surveyor. I was responsible for quoting the projects and then managing them through the installation process.
