Lead a 12 person committee to fulfill Theta Chi Fraternity's commitment to philanthropy, primarily in the raising of funds to benefit United Service Organizations (USO), and the National Alliance on Mental Illnesses (NAMI) Ohio chapter. When I first assumed the role, because my fraternity chapter had been founded only three years prior, our only established philanthropy activity was our golf outing fundraiser to benefit USO. I decided that we needed to expand our work to benefit more causes that myself and my brothers felt passionate about. Because of the sheer number of people affected by mental illnesses, and the lack of resources to deal with and even understand mental illnesses in many communities, we chose to work to help NAMI and created a new event, our Spring Games fundraiser.
