As part of a Chemicals TA team, I was a primary contributor to development of methods and tools that provided a +-10% confidence package for those estimates. In this job I created cost estimating tools used by the entire Cost Estimating group and trained and coached younger engineers on job requirements and effectiveness. Electrical And Instrument Project/Field Engineer - ExpatExxonmobil Jan 2009 - Mar 2011UsI took this assignment after I joined EM in 2009, and had to quickly get up to speed on the company's project construction and safety best practices.Working in a EPC office on site to construct the Singapore Parallel Train Project, I was part of the Interconnect and Tankage portion, appraised at $1 Billion. I worked in the Revamp portion of the project, monitoring Foster Wheeler/Worley Parsons (FWP) contractors in installations of 2500 loops, 25 Motors, and 20 miles of piping. I served as an interface support between project personnel and base plant for permitting needs, critical task analysis, and bi-weekly progress updates. In a TA support role - installing tie-in connection to support Capital work - I helped develop hot tap packages and secured the necessary endorsements to get them completed. I led safety discussions and worked with contractors to improve understanding of job scope and how to look at job steps to plan daily schedules and review contractors' safeguards. I monitored and worked with EPC and contractors to improve productivity in the field, reviewing multiple areas to reduce waste (e.g. PTW delay). I was a technical resource for installing & troubleshooting E/I equipment and ensuring that builds and installations met project standards. I also led punch list teams looked for opportunities to reduce and save costs (e.g. pre-screening with turnover team, lead field model demos before work began).
