A telecommunications and data services provider based in Whiteley, I have been bought on board to help Silver Lining move to the next stage in its development.With wide ranging responsibility for all financial aspects of the company's activities, I am enjoying what is a challenging but highly motivating role.

A data centre company based in Gosport, I was employed to manage the finance department. During my employment I effectively held two similar but different roles as the company was taken over by iomart Group plc in September 2013 Throughout the period I had responsibility for preparing the monthly management accounts, managing cashflow, and working with the managing director to provide financial and non financial information to support operational decisions. I worked closely with the internal development team to implement finance related changes on internal systems. I also managed our financial relationships with key customers & suppliers. Pre acquisition I was responsible for the preparation of the year end accounts and liaising with the external auditors. I had responsibility for all taxation matters as well as supervising the payroll for approx 30 staff. I also dealt with two HMRC inquiries in that time.Post acquisition those responsibilities were reduced, but I additionally became responsible for the budgeting process and the preparation of a monthly reporting pack including explanation of variances against prior month and budgeted figures. I presented this pack to the group CEO and the operations and finance directors at a monthly executive meeting in Glasgow. This pack contained a broad set of business analysis information to assist the board in understanding how the business was performing. I also dealt with a pressured timetable for turning round the management accounts and with other ad hoc demands group finance placed on me.

Preparation of statutory year end and monthly management accounts and associated corporation tax computations.Assisting businesses to prepare forecasts and business plans for finance and growth purposes.Undertaking audit assignments in line with the International Standards on Auditing.Companies worked with included networking hardware suppliers, UPS distributors, metal fabrications suppliers, waste processors and residential care homes.

My primary duties were preparing statutory accounts, performing company audits, and preparing corporation tax returns.This role involved being an audit senior for charity, friendly society and standard limited company audits.Companies worked with included property groups, food processors, software re-sellers, letting agents, building merchants and charities.

I was employed in the audit and accounts department, where my primary function was the preparation of financial statements for submission to Companies House.Bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns were also part of my role. I also supervised junior members of staff, through teaching them the basic principles of accounting and the methods used to prepare a set of accounts.Companies worked with included car dealerships, clothes wholesalers and insurance brokers, .
