I negotiated terms when alliance partners would not accept Hewlett Packard Enterprise's (HPE) standard firmware support and layered software support terms. This usually involved numerous discussions with partner representatives to reach a solution they were comfortable with and modifying HPE support terms in the agreement.

I ensured that Hewlett Packard Enterprise Pointnext's terms were included in Alliance Partner contracts, or negotiated the best terms possible. I reviewed and approved royalty reports produced by the Royalty Finance team.I was responsible for moving royalty payments to a purchase order basis where needed. Moving the purchase order process from HPE Enterprise Services (ES) to HPE Pointnext avoided an $80,000.00 annual fee from ES to manage the process. This also meant helping the business unit and Alliance partners when invoicing issues arose.

I developed and maintained vendor relationships, which included acting as an escalation point when there were performance issues, implementing corrective action plans as needed, working with internal teams to resolve invoicing issues, conducting annual performance reviews, and ensured that purchase orders were issued or renewed on time.

During the time I worked directly for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) I had various roles, beginning with dispatching break-fix cases on telecommunications equipment to internal and external technicians, eventually becoming team-leader. From there, I moved to dispatching and escalating voice network-related problem, then to escalating PC-related problems, and finally to team lead of a "focus cell" that handled dispatch, escalation, and reporting for a large customer.I moved from the dispatching piece of the business to a team that was responsible for loading the necessary data into a homegrown dispatching system. While there, I wrote rudimentary programs that made certain functions much faster, saving more than an hour of time with each use. I eventually became team leader, a post I held for about a year.I then moved to the Vendor Management team, where I was an escalation point for PC-related problems, produced monthly metrics for my assigned vendors, and worked with vendors to develop and carry out action plans when they failed to meet their contractual requirements.
