This role is crucial component of Taronga Zoo’s visitor services operation (1.25 million visitors per year) and involves the direct management of up to 50 staff during peak periods.- In this role I reported directly to Managing Director of Skyrail-itm & liaised directly with key stakeholders at Taronga Zoo including the Managing Director & CEO, the General Manager Guest Services & Commercial Operations & the Operations Manager. - I took on the role of relief General Manager – Operations for the Skyrail-itm operation in Hong Kong, Ngong Ping 360 in 2007. This is one of the world’s largest cableways & the operations division coprised more than 75 staff.- Regularly dealing with many important stakeholders including major international manufactures such as Leitner Poma of America, a variety of domestic & international suppliers & representatives of emergency evacuation teams in particular the Rescue Branch of the NSW Fire Brigade.- Risk management achievements:• Instigated & implemented new Sky Safari documentation system based on ISO 9001 standards with external auditing & measurable KPI’s.• Effectively managing emergency evacuations drills & procedures.• Developed & implemented risk management training for staff which I incorporated into the customer service training systems.
