I never see a problem, just an opportunity and I combine my vision and ability to read a market, seeing gaps and opportunities for new products, with over 20 years’ experience of developing digital learning platforms.My commercial ability comes from 35 years of working in every role and all aspects of sales including European Sales Director for 11 years. I created and ran a leading brand in sales transformation for 15 years whose USP was unique cloud based digital learning technology and wrote a book called High Performance Sales Strategies published by Pearson.Now Co-Founder of Meta Capability, a business that solves the No 1 problem with online learning – engagement. We co-create digital learning platforms with companies and membership bodies enabling them to really engage and motivate their people/members to see what they are capable of and develop quickly on any device at any time. A keen organiser and have been playing in and running a volleyball group for 25 years. Each player hosts and provides the BBQ in their garden every Wednesday from May – August. It is the reason why I still live in Kent. Passionate about rugby and am proud of my eldest son who played for Saracens and England. My two young lads of 14 and 12 are following in his footsteps. My daughter and eldest son are doing really well as salespeople – chips off the old block. I have experience of raising investment having raised £2m of VC investment to facilitate my vision and strategy for Silent Edge. So all in all I am one of those people that just wants to help and consider myself lucky to be in a position to do so.

By seeing the gap in the market and inventing objective capability assessment which provides evidence based data used to enable managers to coach in areas of need, and to inform tailored training sessions, Silent Edge increased the performance, capability and revenues of every company it worked with and provided ROI data to demonstrate that. In April 2014 I created a new strategy and raised £2m of VC investment to turn Silent Edge into a technology company and develop its cloud based SaaS platform to work with any job role, and for it to enable personally tailored m-learning and development/coaching plans. I also personally developed the distribution network via global partners who now white label our technology to their client base. At it's peak Silent Edge employed 52 staff and had 35 trainers working for it internationally and the platform was translated into 7 European languages. I also created some ground breaking research in 2009 with Cranfield School of Management and discovered that there were 8 types of sales people in the world today. This was published in the Harvard Business Review in Dec 2010.
