CurrentDuring the first three years of being the lead technician, I have led a remote team of two and directed an onsite team of six while working with an Energy Engineer at Southern Methodist University in Dallas to save them collectively $1.6 million dollars by suggesting and implementing energy-saving techniques, identifying faulty equipment, and leading reprogramming and retro-commissioning efforts for the campus.Tasks*Identify and recommend energy savings strategies to achieve more energy-efficient operation.*Write or install energy management programs for building automation systems.*Direct the implementation of energy management projects.*Review mechanical, programming, or electrical plans or specifications to evaluate energy efficiency.*Perform energy modeling, measurement, verification, commissioning, or retro-commissioning.*Collect data for energy conservation analyses, using jobsite observation or sub-metering.*Advise clients or colleagues on topics such as climate control systems, data logging, or sustainable design.*Inspect or monitor energy systems, including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) or daylighting systems to determine energy use or potential energy savings.*Remotely identify issues and faults in electronics/robotics systems, whether physical or software related, using graphics, reports, and software techniques.*Change programming to repair issues or enhance operability and energy savings.*Install and setup data logging software to deliver data to the cloud for artificial intelligence data analysis.*Suggest improvements in artificial intelligence for better rule mapping for data analysis.*Suggest rules for mapping errors/faults within the artificial intelligence system.*Run preventative maintenance tasks, such as running reports, loop tuning, fault resolution, artificial intelligence data integrity checks, network integrity checks including BACnet, and programming checks.
