Throughout my 18+ years in executive search and selection I have successfully managed assignments including the appointment of Chief Executives and senior managers across the public, private and NGO sectors. With a passion for Tupuranga Mahi Māori, Raising Māori Employment, I have naturally come to specialise in the recruitment of Māori-focused opportunities. I've been actively involved in governance for some time having Chaired Te Ara A Māui, the Regional Māori Tourism Society and was a pan-tribal representative on two Kāpiti Coast District Council Standing Orders Committees. Currently I am committed to governance roles with Te Atiawa ki Whakarongotai, a number of Māori asset trusts, Zealandia (Karori Sanctuary Trust https://www.visitzealandia.com/about) and most recently as WellingtonNZ's Chair of the Regional Trails Community & Industry Engagement Forum. Prior to joining the executive search and recruitment sector I held a number of general management and commercial roles. My early career was as a teacher.Specialties: Executive search; the appointment of Chief Executives and senior managers; restructures; management of recruitment and change projects; Māori recruitment; senior education sector recruitment.
