Computer Vision EngineerMujin Inc. (株式会社Mujin) Jun 2016 - Aug 2020Tokyo, JapanDeveloped vision algorithms for high precision industrial robotics. I worked on camera calibration, 2D (image) and 3D (point cloud) processing for detection algorithms, projective geometry, object registration, and mathematical optimization, both delving deep into the math and developing high performance code. On the other hand, I did low-level work on cameras including developing socket-level drivers/streamers for image capture and reliable integration with other parts of the robot system, as well as performing statistical analysis on physical properties of cameras. I also worked on motion planning and general robotics, including automatic pose generation for camera calibration, grasping and manipulation for suction grippers, and order cycle logic for programmable logic controllers (PLCs). I visited factories to debug production systems onsite in real time as well, and fluently communicated difficult technical concepts to clients in Japanese. -
