As a head of Engineering in Digital Engineering Line of Business, I successfully led the team through a series of trials and transformations. These include: a number of changes related to the COVID-19 crisis and its impact on the way we work and our customers' businesses; a number of changes related to the acquisition of our company and the need to integrate our processes with the acquirer; further transformation of resource management and recruitment practices; the beginning of Russia's armed invasion and war in Ukraine.Responsibilities:Responsible for engineering team of Digital Engineering Line of Business, the strategy of its development, the planning and execution to reach company-level goals. The company-wide implementation of Resource Management aimed to localize geographically the team and people management practices. My primary goal was supervision of implementation of Resource Management processes in Eastern Europe.Responsibilities:Responsible for Resource Management strategy, planning and execution to match delivery needs. Was member of the group who developed Resource Management concepts from ideation and piloting to company-wide implementation. Was responsible for the start of Resource Management practices in Eastern Europe. Overall responsible for resource management of 5000+ engineers.

The next step in development of engineering practices was transformation from Industrial model into Geo-based delivery model, which allowed us to streamline team management and people management practices. One of my primary goals was development of joined Ukrainian management team from managers and directors of former Travel, Media and Energy industries, establishment of common management practices and processes. The resulting team demonstrated excellent level of collaboration, successfully piloted and implemented several key initiatives, which then were scaled on company level and gave a start for further company transformation. Travel and Media Industries were result of transformation from Practices model into more outlined Industrial model. The merged portfolio had 40+ accounts and 300+ engineers. One of my primary goals was development of joined management team, which was distributed between 6 countries, and establishment of common management practices. PQuo PQuo is online consumer identity management system. Huge challenge of developing and maintaining interfaces to approximately a hundred of different web sites was solved by developing very flexible engine along with target site description language. Solution uses J2EE, JSP, PHP, SOAP, MySQL. Role: Principal developer. I designed and implemented different parts of system, as for back-end and API, and for front-end. I performed set of investigations that was successfully integrated into system.Skoop Skoop is global people search system. It works under Linux servers, uses custom indexing engine and effective cluster storage. Requirements: Indexing 1.5 Billion web pages, recognize/extract people related data (related people, citations, related companies, locations and baseline tags) from any (non-nstructured) web content. Role: Advanced developer. I was involved in this project for 2 months and implemented parts of Fast Text Index engine and Related Names search.

The product built on MFC, OpenGL and DirectX technologies and also mathematical libraries that was developed at Materialise. Role: Team leader, Senior developer. Research Office Package of programs for marketing and sociological studies. Solution uses COM, ObjectHaven, Sling, TrolltechQt. Role: Project manager, Senior developer. I completely designed and implemented framework and user interface of the Research Office Expert, and it'd different modules. I led the Research Office developers. I set up the system for planning, accounting and the tracking of defects on the basis of MSProject + MSProjectServer.ObjectHaven Object-oriented DBMS, that works as in the form of independent component, as in the “client-server” mode. It supports transactions, multi-user mode, versions. Role: I developed the multi-user mode and versions support. I implemented several library containers.ComXLib Framework library for developing the scalable applications with the COM-technology usage. This library is the basis for all of products described above. Role: I implemented the replication algorithms of the treelike and vector type containers.
