Executive Vice President, Post Acute Care Pharmacy

Current

Parsippany, New Jersey, Us

Since I was promoted to Executive Vice President of the Post-Acute Pharmacy Team in November 2022, I have successfully led a team of over 55 people, including the Vice President of Sales, Senior Director of Customer Experience, Vice President of Reimbursement, and the Senior Director of Trade Relations and Inside Sales. I am responsible for the business unit's P&L, customer retention, market share, and the overall strategic direction of the team. Between the Post-Acute Pharmacy Team and Long-Term Care (LTC) Pharmacy team I led prior, there have been 17 promotions in last 4 years at all levels. Additionally, engagement scores and surveys reflect my ability to develop a trust-centered, healthy culture. One of my most notable achievements was retaining our largest customer, despite aggressive competition and an expectation that more value was available elsewhere. I shifted the customer executive team’s perception and expectations by explaining total delivered value with the current discounts and rebates and not only retained the customer for additional years, did so with expanded margin.Another significant accomplishment was driving collaboration and team camaraderie by serving in the trenches. My team was struggling to take a complex web of value our organization delivers and make it simple and impactful to customers. To solve this problem, I created a total value scorecard that quantifies delivered and exclusive value in a manner in which the customer can absorb. It drove retention rates up 2%, which created accretive value impact to P&L.Finally, our largest customer was ready to terminate our relationship seeking greater understanding of their business objectives. By taking the time and making the effort to understand these business objectives and align our solutions with these, the customer renewed and even expanded services.

Jan 2023 - Present

President

Charlotte, Nc, Us

Reporting directly to the CEO, I led and managed various teams, including sales, customer experience, and strategic accounts, comprising around 120 full-time employees, to achieve a 2% higher market growth than the market in net revenue. One of my most significant accomplishments was the transformation of the organizational culture and structure of Foodbuy, where I was able to develop a culture of wellbeing, transparency, and humility. I achieved this by implementing various employee engagement strategies, town halls, happy hours, recognition programs, deep and transparent communication, and engagement surveys, which resulted in a 83% engagement score, an increase of 23% over a year. Furthermore, I recruited, retained, and nurtured talent by hiring someone from outside the industry to drive diversity in culture, strategy, and process. Another significant achievement was renewing the contract of the largest customer, who had been looking to depart. By leveraging impactful visual aids that made Foodbuy's delivered value obvious and connecting it to Hilton's strategic plans and customer successes, Hilton renewed their contract for three years at expanded margins.Lastly, I presented my case to the entire board to be named Chair of Parlay Solutions, a joint venture with Caesars Entertainment and the premier group purchasing organization for the North American Gaming Hospitality and Entertainment Industry.

Feb 2018 - Apr 2019

Chief Revenue Officer

King Or Prussia, Pennsylvania, Us

In leading the commercialization and growth efforts of the organization, I managed a team that included the Senior Vice Presidents of Marketing and Sales and the Customer Service Center Vice President. With RCA's buildings and inpatient services established, my challenge was to self-fund the creation of Ambulatory Recovery Solution Centers. To execute this decision, we launched a pilot site in South NJ and created a turnkey operation that was profitable and could be leveraged to quickly add new sites and solutions. Applying my skills and talents in business case development, financial and operational excellence, clinical experience, organizational and facility development, marketing, and branding, we broke even by year 1 and were profitable enough by year 2 to reinvest back into the new business unit. This success impacted the entire RCA organization and ultimately led to the creation of a new Ambulatory solution leader that I recruited and hired.Through my leadership and the efforts of my team, we successfully identified over $100M in revenue-generating opportunities through new product development, operational expansion, revenue cycle, and business development.

Sep 2016 - Feb 2018

Senior Vice President - Sales And Marketing

Philadelphia, Pa, Us

Reporting directly to the CEO of Healthcare at Aramark. I managed a team of Vice Presidents in Retention, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience in the development and implementation of various initiatives to drive business growth, retain customers, and increase customer satisfaction. As a leader committed to the career development of my team members, I worked with a Vice President of Marketing to develop a $12M career transition plan that helped him better apply his strengths in customer experience, where he eventually thrived. My leadership, overall, led to generating over $300M in new business and $350M in contract renewals. I boosted overall sales by 15%, close rates by 10%, and retention rates by 5% by spearheading growth management processes. I also established an Innovation Council to drive the commercialization of new market solutions and identified market opportunities that outpaced our competitors.A large local Philadelphia-based health system renewed their contract with Aramark after we customized solutions for them. I implemented menus focusing on the top disease states, areas where experience scores were lower, and where health plans would see the value of focused eating in relation to the disease state. After the implementation of the menus, plus integrated technology and processes, disease state readmission rates went down by 4% year over year (YoY), and their star rating at two locations went up by 25%. I was personally recognized by the CEO and applauded by my peers.Another significant accomplishment that continues to benefit Aramark today was implementing value-based selling by developing a proprietary tool and playbook that quantified the impact of Aramark's services on customer star ratings and reimbursement. The tool, developed by a consultant I hired, helped us win new business and avoided a 2% price reduction in the first year alone. This tool is still being used to drive value-based selling today.

Jun 2014 - Aug 2016

Group Vice President, Community And Specialty Pharmacy

Conshohocken, Pa, Us

As Group Vice President for Community and Specialty Pharmacy at AmerisourceBergen, I oversaw the B2B/B2C commercial channel sales and marketing, strategy development, and tactical execution initiatives for $11B community and specialty pharmacy Rx and solution businesses across the US. I directly managed the Vice President of Strategic Accounts, Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Marketing, and Regional Vice Presidents. One of my biggest challenges was to drive sales growth for our generics commercial program, which was lagging in competitive value. With the PRxO Generics Plus program I developed, customers participated more deeply in the ABC (AmerisourceBergen Corporation) generic program, spent more, and received more. The program was successful; retention rates were stable for the first two years, there were zero losses due to value gaps, and additional revenue and margin gains for ABC as customers gained more rebates and discounts. Upon being hired, I managed $5B in annual Generic Rx Pharmaceutical sales and led commercialization and business development initiatives for $2B Retail Generic Pharmaceutical business. Throughout my time at ABC, I secured $3.5B in contract renewals, achieved 100% of annual revenue and margin targets each year, and acted as co-lead in developing and executing the first Sales and Marketing playbook. These accomplishments resulted in two executive-level vertical promotions and contributed significantly to annual corporate profit targets.

Marketing Product Director

New Brunswick, Nj, Us

In this role, I reported directly to the Vice President of Marketing and managed a team of Marketing Assistant Directors and a $140M+ cardiovascular product portfolio representing 40% of total company revenues.A declining catheter market meant that customers were negotiating buying our catheters solely on the lowest price, resulting in negative sales and margin growth rates. To overcome this, I developed and executed a segmentation strategy that highlighted the direct clinical and economic benefits of our current product portfolio while simultaneously building and launching the Tempo Aqua Silicon Tipped Diagnostic Catheter within the same year. This product became the largest in the catheter market as measured by TAM and post-launch market CAGRs. It also changed leg interventions, clinical outcomes, and economic measures for the better, achieving ROI in less than 1.5 years post-launch.In addition to this success, I drove 7% to 12% YoY growth for each franchise, overcoming critical challenges during a 4-year market decline, and hitting 100% of annual revenue and margin targets by defining, implementing, and leading disease state/ physician market segmentation strategies and overall franchise restructuring. My impactful contributions led to two executive-level promotions within a 7-year period. In my previous roles as Director of Sales Operations and Director of National Sales, I successfully built and led sales and marketing teams to multi-million dollar revenue growth, managed a staff of MBA-level managers to acquire over 1,800 accounts and $2B in annual contracted sales, and streamlined business processes to improve communication with all internal/external constituents, which protected the company's commercial and legal interests.I'm proud to have won the President's Award for Innovation in 2004, which included a trip, cash, and recognition.
