I have lived in Silicon Valley for more than 2 decades and I have worked with nearly every major technology company of our era - including large global companies such as IBM, GE, Facebook, Zscaler, Schneider Electric, Hitachi, Cisco, EY, Yahoo, Apple, Google, SAP, and Salesforce along with countless startups such as Opsware, Cylerity, Kaiam, Chirpify and Inflexxion.I now specialize in cyber security risk and compliance leadership, especially as it applies to climate change. Over the past decade, I've held leadership roles at GE, GRC21 and Uplight / AutoGrid (a Schneider Electric company). My job functions have included vendor risk management for 1000's of suppliers, interfacing directly with large complex global customers, and leading annual cyber security and privacy audits.At GE, I worked closely with GE Corporate CISO and CIO teams and helped their global vendor management team to optimize processes, tools and policies. At AutoGrid, I helped establish processes, policies and automation for all aspects of product security, vendor management, and back-office security. As AutoGrid was part of Schneider Electric (SE), I also worked closely with SE's global cybersecurity organization to establish processes and automation for critical global government regulatory requirements. At GRC21, I founded and led this consulting firm for more than 4 years and worked with more than 30 startups and larger established companies. Our key service offering was related to cybersecurity advisory and we worked closely with many large VC firms and market leading audit firms.More recently, I have been doing deep research and analysis on climate change, looking at ways to make the highest impact on global issues. I created “The SeaNet” concept - the only realistic solution to Sea Level Rise. Many leading researchers and scientists have stated that the global sea level could rise more than 15 feet by the end of the century and by more than 200 feet over the next 3 centuries. I am developing a series of books on SeaNet, with the first edition due in early 2025. Book 1 is currently titled “The SeaNet - We Can and Must Stop Sea Level Rise”.
