Corporate administrator assigned to Townview Terrace, a six story assisted living and independent resident community situated in the heart of downtown Wooster. Townview is the only Medicaid-waiver AL/IL combination facility in Ohio.

100 bed SNF/TBI combination with gargantuan infrastructure and staffing challenges. Meadowview's secured Traumatic Brain Injury unit was the only TBI/skilled facility in the state. I walked into a reorganized business in December 2018 where the previous owners & top staff had left the reputation of the facility in shambles. Turnover was abysmal; I was the 5th LNHA in 8 months and my DON was the 19th in 21. In Jan 2019, I recruited a top-tier therapy group and began to triage both staff and infrastructure. With great effort from both old and new employees, a new team coalesced. That summer, we decertified a deeply entrenched labor union (22 yrs), finally allowing higher wages for nurses and STNA’s. Over time, trust between the facility and village police, EMT's and the Fire Dept. was slowly reestablished. Kudos to the Ohio Department of Health during this time for allowing Meadowview time to address its many life safety deficiencies. Sadly, abrogation of trust at the highest levels proved to be the last straw. After issuing 2 month’s notice, I finally left Meadowview in October, albeit in better shape than I found it and without any fines. The previous administration racked up over $200K in civil monetary penalties.The facility finally closed July 2020; residents relocated, licensure forfeited. Meadowview Health & Rehabilitation Center was very much needed in Northeast Ohio. Truly a sad ending to a difficult journey where so many had given their very best!

Helped Schaeffler celebrate its 40 year presence in Wooster and honor as local Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year. Made new friends and reconnected with a lot of friends from the 20th century.Schaeffler remains the largest employer in Wayne County with 2,000+ employees; 92,000 worldwide. From 27,000 sq. ft. in 1978 to nearly 23 acres under roof in 2018 - Schaeffler remains a beehive of state-of-the art manufacturing activity. Truly honored to be part of this company’s history...twice!

Crossover to a new career field...with new challenges and excitement. Assumed role as administrator in September, 2016. Independent, for profit, 88 bed post-acute & extended care facility with a strong reputation for quality service to eastern Wayne County. Great opportunity to develop and lead a new team with the support of residents, families and the local community. Hired new medical director, DON and ADON to implement strategic plans. On-site Ohio Department of Health survey of facility in 2017 (and subsequent desk review) was best in four years.

Responsibilities included the promotion, curriculum development, and delivery of an A.S. Degree in Renewable Energy - first in the country and newest (at the time) of OSU’s 180 majors. Program provided an affordable Ohio State degree with paid internships & job-ready opportunities in a burgeoning field. Served as Academic Program Advisor last year of the grant. A.S. degree since superseded by an A.A.S. in Bioenergy and Water Treatment Management program led by Dr. Victor Ujor.

Capitalizing on a growing green economy, quasar energy group has operational waste-to-energy facilities in Ohio, New York, and Massachusetts. As a project developer, I worked with municipalities, farm bureaus, food manufacturers and economic development councils to foster long-term relationships and solicit anaerobic digester opportunities. With a goal of cleaner air, soil, water and energy independence, the science of reconstituting waste makes sense. Plus, what could be more American than independence?

Inherited a quarter million dollar operating loss, a crumbling customer base, high employee turnover, erratic quality and late deliveries. Stabilized customer base, greatly reduced turnover, mitigated quality and delivery issues. Margins were higher and company continued to grow until a 2013 corporate buyout.

A vertically integrated original equipment and aftermarket supplier (originally LuK incorporated) to international automotive markets. Tenure spanned the company's infancy and formative years. Simultaneously managed six diverse functions (Facilities Development, Plant Engineering, Security, Environmental Services, Telecommunications, and a Corporate Vehicle Fleet of 55 cars and trucks). Brought in final new construction project on time and $.5MM under budget.

Trained for Vietnam, but deployed to collect Cold War cryptographic intelligence in the heart of East Germany. The Berlin Wall was an ever-present reminder of the bankruptcy of totalitarian rule. I and those who served with me never thought the Wall would fall in our lifetime.
