Having returned back from living and working for circa 10 years in the Faroe Islands, I took a position with a local auto shop franchise, whilst I got myself re-settled back in to the UK way of life. Was part of a team of 2 engineers and a electrician, I took on the position of Marine engineer to manage a fleet of 8 large fishing vessels. From the maintenance of their engines, sea worthiness checks and general everyday repairs of various machinery and equipments.

Having completed my education in the UK I travelled to the Faroe Islands where I started my Marine Engineering apprenticeship. For 4 years I worked on various types of ships and also took on other duties such as welding, pipe fitting, working on a bench lathe and a milling machine.
