Worked to make it robust and scalable by offloading each invoice to its own background job, wrapping each job in an atomic lock, and alerting on failure.Developed mobile-friendly, dynamic frontends for several sections of the site (e.g. faceted search interface, multi-step sign-up) using React, Flux, AngularJS, jQuery, and Bootstrap.Worked on finding relationships among data points using Neo4j and algorithmically extracted search phrases.Released several Ruby gems that came out of development.Converted over 10 servers to Chef, wrote several custom cookbooks, and oversaw major server upgrades.

Worked with the Federal Election Commission to convert their twenty year old System 1032 auditing program to a web-based version using PHP on the Zend framework with MySQL. Audit sampling and Levenshtein algortihms were rewritten to SQL and scaled to handle auditing millions of records at a time.Migrated and maintained several custom-built eCommerce sites to Drupal using custom scrapers to fetch the inventory. Developed custom modules for a multi-step checkout process and faceted product search.Created and maintained several Drupal modules.
