Responsible for the reliable operation of the Brazos Electric Transmission facilities in compliance with internal operating procedures, the ERCOT Protocols and Operating Guides and NERC Standards. Evaluates situations and takes appropriate action to assure safe, secure and economical operation of system. Directs switching of substation and transmission facilities and operates supervisory control equipment with regard for safety of personnel and public. Coordinates periodic operational checking of all circuit breakers and maintenance of transmission lines and substations to assure continuity of service. Maintains proper and accurate records of System Operation and operates radio and microwave telephone to provide communications between offices, mobile units and other locations.

Transmission Operator duties including switching, coordination, and communication between personnel to facilitate the safe, secure, and economical operation of the Brazos Electric power transmission system. Also operate the Brazos energy resources in compliance with internal operating procedures, ERCOT Protocols and Operating Guides, and NERC Standards.
