Serve as the intergovernmental, community and media relations coordinator. Investigate and respond to taxpayer complaints and appeals for penalty abatement. Co-authored the Federal Equal Opportunity Recruitment Program. Secured an intergovermental personnel assignment to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change in Atlanta, GA. On this assignment I represented the King Center before the Georgia State Legislature in our successful lobbying efforts to have the area of Dr. King's birth home and the proposed King Center designated as an historical landmark. After returning to Washington, D. C. I was involved in drafting and lobbing for legislation that became P.L. 95-507. Assisted in the development and management of the first Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization.
