Over 30 years of aviation experience has taught me a number of valuable lessons. First and foremost the person who stops learning also stops growing, we can never forfeit our ability to absorb the wonders around us. Second, the aviation industry is extremely fluid. This fluidity is as prevalent today as any other time across the 31 years of my involvement. The amazing and ever changing world of Unmanned Aerial Systems(UAS) has captured my passion and imagination in ways rivaled only by the mysterious world of AIr Traffic Control studied as a young man in my 20’s. Third, a person with an active mind never truly retires. As a contract UAS Integration professional with the FAA, a certified commercial UAS Remote Pilot with training in UAS search and rescue and one who carries an extensive background in air traffic, my professional world is crossing a new threshold.
