*Process incoming and outgoing military/civilian personnel who are assigned or attached to the activity by furnishing, checking, and completing a variety of security related forms.*Receive and reviews requests for security clearances for military and civilian personnel.*Check personnel records for security investigations/clearance and adverse suitability information.*Review position requirements and assists Security Manager in designating position sensitivity levels and determine security clearance investigation and clearance requirements.*Conduct appropriate Local Records File Checks (LRFC) consisting of medical, provost, and security records as required by appropriate regulations, directives and policies.*Provide guidance on obtaining individual's security clearance.*Receive information on individuals with clearances and access to classified information from a variety of sources and reviews to ascertain the nature and severity of derogatory information.*Maintain and updates clearance and access rosters.*Initiate and tracks periodic reinvestigations for SECRET (S) and TOP SECRET (TS) security clearances. Assists in coordinating with other installations and MACOMs on personnel security matters.*Take fingerprints for FBI classification on applicants of personnel security investigations or related purposes.*Assist employees in preparation of SF86 and SF85P for submission of initial clearance requests and periodic reinvestigations using Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) and Joint Personnel Adjudication System.*Review classified information for appropriate marking and storage, changes combinations, and maintains formal accountability records.*Perform office automation work using word processing and various types of software such as electronic mail, database, graphics, spreadsheets, etc. to prepare documents or input/retrieve data for reports.
