I graduated high school from Rutherford B. Hayes in 2001 and attended The University of Findlay (2001-2005) with an athletic track & field scholarship and majored in Criminal Justice Administration. I obtained my Peace Officer Certification from Delaware Area Career Center in 2006 and began my law enforcement career with the City of Johnstown. While in Johnstown I developed in all aspects of the department by becoming a Field Training Officer and Evidence Technician. I received a promotion to Patrol Sergeant in 2018 and oversaw the field training program and evidence room. In 2021 I was promoted to Deputy Chief and attended Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command (class 499) an FBI National Academy equivalent. In May of 2022 I was designated the Interim Police Chief and was officially sworn in as the Chief of Police on January 1, 2023.
