I have been a real estate broker for 30+ years, dealing in commercial buildings, land, lots, and residential real estate. In January 1956, I moved to Hobbs, with my mother and father. I graduated from Hobbs High School, and was a member of the 1968 Hobbs Eagle State Champion basketball team. I also played basketball for NM Jr. College. After graduating from NMJC, I continued my education at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. I graduated from Tech and moved back to Hobbs. I went to work with my father in the oil and gas business. After working as vice president for that company for 3 years, I purchased Vandiver's Hardware and Gift store in Hobbs. I owned and operated that business for 17 years. During the last year of ownership, the business was burglarized. The alarm system I was renting failed to notify the police department. I auctioned off the inventory at Vandiver's and started Action Alarm Co. I sold the alarm company after 3 years of successful ownership and started my real estate career. I have been a successful real estate broker for 30+ years, with many awards, & achievements. Approximately 3+ years ago, Newman & Co., Realtors sold to Berkshire Hathaway. I enjoyed my time selling real estate with this company before resigning June 30, 2020. One other Realtor and myself, own EDGE REALTY GROUP, LLC., located in Hobbs, NM. Our Combined years of experience is a little over 50 years. My goals as a Realtor are to assists buyers & sellers in understanding their roles in the transaction and managing the process to closing.
