Responsible for the development of relationships with the world's leading driver safety scientists and organizations. Managed Lytx's contribution to the federally mandated 34-Hour Restart project and a driver performance study in China involving Chinese and Swedish governments and academic institutions. Designed, found external funding for, and completed the world's largest (miles traveled) naturalist driving study. Awarded Lytx's "Go Big" award for the "Lives Saved Project" that estimated the societal benefit of the company's core products and services. Managed Lytx's involvement in a commercial vehicle platooning project.

Designed, developed, tested and sold the teen driver video feedback program. This is the program that underpins American Family Insurance's TeenSafe Driver Program, which has been adopted by over 30,000+ families. Negotiated and secured multiple renewals of a multi-million dollar exclusive contract. I built business processes to create and track subscriptions, to monitor and deliver customer service, to run the day-to-business processes and to track and report program performance. The program won the prestigious Innovation Award from the National Safety Council. I appeared on national television multiple times to represent the program and it's exceptional results.

While a customer of Lytx (then "DriveCam") at the Mayo Clinic, I deployed their video feedback program to 240 paramedics operating 60 ambulances. The out-of -the-box solution from DriveCam was strong at collecting individual driver performance but was weak at tracking performance over time, weak at facilitating coaching and lacked all methods to aggregate and report site and division performance. With Mayo Clinic resources, I was able to integrate the DriveCam system with a centralized relational database, balanced score card dashboard system and a system of centralized event review and remote driver coaching. DriveCam leadership was aware of my innovations (done with permission) and brought me on to implement similar improvements to their core offering. After two years doing so, I switched focus to building a consumer business model for parents of teen drivers where their insurance provider paid for the video feedback program. In both the commercial and consumer cases, I organized and found funding for independent academic validation of the effectiveness of the video feedback program.
