The Advanced Operations Technology (AOT) group is dedicated to the development, qualification, and implementation of leading edge manufacturing processes and technologies for Studies, IR&D's, and Programs within GCSD. I will serve as a technical division resource in electronic packaging technologies focusing in two areas: the PWB/PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and Fabricated/Machined metals and plastics. I will also be investigating emerging AM (Additive Manufacturing) technologies and how GSCD might utilize for future designs.

Supply Chain Engineer for the Government Communications Systems Division (GCSD). Selected as the Division Level Technical Resource and Fabrication Team Lead; supporting programs for all business areas for GCSD at Harris. Responsible for supporting the design, documentation, procurement and acceptance of fabricated and machined products. Supporting Harris Procurement, Material, Quality and Design. Primary liaison between our suppliers and Harris regarding technical problems, Producibility, logistics, and cost. Conducts Mechanical Engineering best practices and Lessons Learned to Design Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Material and other areas of Supply Chain and Engineering.

Responsible for design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices. Initiates creative designs and recommendations for presentation and approval. Analyzes mechanical requirements to determine the feasibility of design integration. Performs product development activities including drawing layouts, tolerance stack ups, and overall integration between mechanical and electrical components.

Led activities in production and design engineering. Lead in Lot Acceptance Testing, Qualification Testing (vibration, drop testing, pressure testing (proof and burst), Leak Testing (Helium), shock and thermal cycling), Failure Investigation, Improvements to Production Drawings, Material Selection, Bill of Material Management, Packaging and Marking improvements, Technical Documents (Failure Analysis Reports, Engineering Reviews, Design of Experiments, Engineering whitepapers, and Acceptance Test Procedures), Changes to Production Work Instructions, production scheduling, and creation and implementation of Corrective Actions. Led Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) that improved existing designs. Expert in Faliure Analysis and Investigations. Experience in FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope), Real Time X-Ray (Micro-focus X-Ray), Mass Spectrometer Analysis, Cross-sectional analysis, Material selection, Brazing, Soldering, Epoxies, Welding, Anodizing, Chemical Film Coatings, Passivation, Heat Treating and others processes.

Quality Engineer for military/government contracts, quality control supervision and support of a production line. Experience with GD&T, inspection points, first article inspections, processes improvements, End Item Data Packages, shipments, Ammo Data Cards, Certificates of Conformance, contract requirements, Lot Acceptance Product selection and testing.
