As the Energy Conservation Program Manager, I am responsible for providing leadership and technical support in data collection and analysis, development and implementation of command-wide energy sustainability programs, including energy efficiency and conservation projects, and identifying and prioritizing cost saving opportunities.I lead the NEXCOM Enterprise energy sustainability/conservation program, and will be instrumental in continuously improving the NEXCOM energy management plan, thereby reducing utilities consumption across the board.Responsible for building audit program for NEXCOM facilities, I manage the continuous development of the Building Energy Audits (utilities consumption strategies and conservation programs) that includes sustainable improvements in equipment and energy technology, building systems, and occupant behavior practices. I identify building mechanical problems, impacting energy consumption; analyze heating, cooling, ventilation and lighting systems to determine optimum operating conditions. Develop and recommend equipment strategies to maximize operating efficiency. Analyze, identify, and promote methods to improve efficiencies in energy consumption in all NEXCOM facilities worldwide.Responsible for annual and long range budgetary strategies. Identifying energy conservation opportunities and helping facilitate implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs that can reduce energy consumption and demand and save money.

The Historic Preservation Commission provides consistent deliberations on requests to alter historic structures within the historic Cradock, Olde Towne, Park View, Port Norfolk and Truxtun neighborhoods. Required to be sensitive to each request and ensure that each decision is reflective of local building standards and the Secretary of Interiors Guidelines for Rehabilitation of Historic Structures.

As a Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) working with Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid Atlantic Region, I am responsible for working with installation personnel in managing a comprehensive energy management program. The REM's primary task is to identify low and no-cost energy conservation measures in Navy buildings, and work with installation personnel to develop and implement these projects. Additional tasks include leading installation Building Monitor Program training sessions and coordinating Architectural and Engineering studies in support of the energy program.

I work as part of the engineering and support group for NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic. I specialize in the development of Restoration Modernization and Energy projects. Providing architectural support services for facilities management, I also develop and analyze proposed scopes of work and construction cost estimates from contractors for major and minor maintenance to facilities throughout the installation.

Managing projects at a range of scales from small residential renovations to large custom residences. We are a small full-service Architectural firm whose goal is to merge landscape, building, and interior design balancing these key elements, transforming utilitarian building into true Architecture.

Construction doing everything from rough framing to interior trim. Developed a working knowledge of residential wood-frame construction that has been instrumental in my growth as a designer.

Developed working drawings from schematic designs and managed the detail library for the Mid Atlantic Region office. Learned basic AutoCAD drafting techniques, as well as basic building modeling information using Autodesk Architectural Desktop.
