• Spearheaded the development of a fully-automated system for nationwide scale monitoring of reforestation activities in the Philippines.
• Using Google Earth Engine’s Python API for downloading and processing, we were able to produce analysis-ready data sets for tens of thousands sites in only a span of a few days with no user-intervention required.

• Developed a plugin in Sentinel Application Platform (SNAP) for a rice classification algorithm from Sentinel-1 SAR images.
• The algorithm was written in Python and invoked through SNAP’s Java API library.
• Assessed and incorporated various methods to improve the overall execution speed of the plugin.

• Processed multi-band satellite image data (Landsat) to algorithmically detect seagrass beds using ENVI and ArcGIS.
• Studied the algorithm/data parameter sensitivity to further understand and improve the results of unsupervised detection.
