Run special projects in the identity security space. I work with Okta, Active Directory, eDirectory, Siteminder, BeyondTrust, and other identity security software. I am also responsible for programming in PowerShell and Python to help manage systems, automate processes, and streamline reporting. Projects have included expanding directory systems into the Azure cloud space, use Agile approach to quickly expand capacity in authentication system after shortcomings were found in handling large scale events, and build out custom load testing and monitoring solutions.

I work on identity security. I manage several LDAP environments. I work on both Microsoft Active Directory and Novell eDirectory. I also manage a Novell Identity Manager system. I write custom web and VBScript programs to help manage the LDAP directories.

Worked as staff consultant contracted to Foremost Insurance for identity management and Novell systems administration. Worked with Novell NetWare, Novell eDirectory LDAP, Novell Identity Manager, and Windows Active Directory.

Maintained all computer systems. Responsible for phone systems and phone and data lines. Discovered large number of phone lines that were unused but still being billed and got billing fixed, saving significant amounts in phone charges. Upgraded phone system from old unsupported system to current state of art system saving significant money in support charges for maintenace on old system. Maintained FileMaker database. Made significant changes to FileMaker database system to correct errors in system to more efficiently manage billing. Completed migration of phone services to SBC from other phone companies. Previous person in position had been unable to complete migration causing double billing for significant amount of services for long period of time.

Taught at Olympia Career Training Institute which was one of the schools managed by Corinthian Colleges. I taught computer networking. The curriculum included Microsoft MCSE classes, Novell CNA course, Linux training, Microsoft Office applications, CompTia classes for A+, Linux+, and Network+. Also taught job hunting skills and career development. Program was eventually discontinued when Corinthian decided to make Olympia an Allied Health only school. I also assisted in maintaining the network on campus and in tutoring Allied Health students with Microsoft Word and with resume creation. I created a series of resume and cover letter templates for the students on campus to use.

Contract work for a number of different companies in West Michigan. Administration of NetWare and Groupwise. Training of support personnel for GroupWise. Beta 1 testing of GroupWise 5.5. Wrote custom trouble ticket application in MS Access. Migration of Paradox database to Access for Y2K compliance. Project to completely upgrade Novell NetWare servers and backend network for three building campus, reducing servers from several departmental servers to single campus server, and upgrading entire ethernet network to fully switched network. Setup of off-site failover for bank department to fulfill legal requirements for warm site failover.
