After many years of working in Education as a Fundraiser, a substitute teacher and a paraprofessional, I am retired. I will continue to volunteer my time; and spend time with my 5 grandchildren and husband.I am a member of the Llano Women's Culture Club, serving on the Community Service and Scholarship Committees. I am also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. During the school year, I serve as a mentor to a student at risk at the elementary school. I also help non-profits with fundraising strategies and goals. My hobbies include: perfecting the art of making artisan bread, baking cookies, making home made jam reading, dancing, walking/running, and spending time working on an old house. I have been gardening, creating natural plants garden and habitat for butterflies, bees, etc. I'm also continuing playing the piano. Traveling is on the top list too -- since we currently bought a small camper.

This was my pre-retirement job. I assisted and mentored high school students who had special needs, or needed extra help to succeed in school.

As Director of Development, I supervised a staff of 3 and worked closely with marketing department to achieve all fundraising goals. I also was instrumental in The Academy achieving it's $10.5 million dollar endowment campaign. I worked with Board members, parents, grandparents and staff.I was also Assistant Director of Development from 2002-2004.

Served as Assistant Director of Annual Giving at the UH System; and served as Interim Director of Annual Giving at the UH System. I also worked with alumni, various colleges and other campuses to plan and help achieve their annual giving goals.
