Currently a 4th year apprentice engineer working four days a week with a day at college for studying. Work weekends when required.

• First two and a half years in the crossover department. This involved picking parts, assembling circuit boards, precision soldering and finally testing them after a visual inspection to ensure all boards worked correctly.• Next two and a half years as an operator on two different lines. General speaker assembly, cabinet repairs, acoustic testing, and final inspection to a high quality standard. On the second line was taught basic paperwork in order to support the line leader.• For three years was a line leader responsible in the general running of the line, people management, stock control, returning reject components, staff training, holiday requests, time sheets, discipline matters, internal appraisals, complex cabinet repairs, scrap, productivity sheets, area audits, 5s representative. And at this point became a work First Aider.• For a year and a half worked in ‘Cones &Surrounds’ with hot presses, cutters, glue machines, CNC Pacer and an Aeroformer. For these learnt how to set up, operate, how to make adjustments and to shut down. Updated all the standard work for this department, as the previous versions were eight years old.• In 2009 completed NVQ Level2 in ‘Business Improvement Techniques’.• For a year worked in the woodwork department learnt how to use and undertake basic maintenance of the spray booth robot. Was responsible for preparing cabinets, mixing paint and ensuring spray settings were correct as well as for the loading and unloading of the cabinets to the conveyor line.• Got accepted on the company apprenticeship scheme.

Worthing To Littlehampton

For a year worked evenings and weekends as a domiciliary career, helping elderly and disabled people to remain living in their own homes by assisting with food preparation, cleaning, bathing, dressing, medication; working alone and in pairs for calls that involved hoist work.

Worthing

Responsibility was to pick orders and send down to customers waiting. After that help unload deliveries, from lorries all the way to putting them onto the shelves; inputting each delivery once it had been checked, and completing an 80% stock count every week.
