Extensive experience in P-12 and higher education. Founding Partner of Education Solutions, an education consulting firm. Previously served as Alabama Deputy State Superintendent of Education, Dean of the Samford University School of Education and Professional Studies, professor, and local school superintendent. Prior to that served as public school teacher, assistant principal, director of curriculum and staff development, and assistant superintendent. Led the Samford School of Education to award by the U. S. Department of Education as one of the four top teacher preparation programs in the nation. Currently teaching online master's level and doctoral educational leadership courses. Taught face-to-face educational leadership courses at master's, Ed.S., and doctoral levels. Served as chair and member of doctoral dissertation committees. Designed graduate curriculum and developed numerous graduate courses. Previously a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Judge and Baldrige Examiner. Served on accreditation visiting committees for the National Commission for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and the American Bar Association. Presented keynote addresses at national and international conferences and served as a consultant to numerous school systems.
