My duties consist of operating solder paste printers, solder paste inspection, dispense machines, reflow ovens, batch washes, as well as diagnosing and resolving issues with the same. I am involved in Visual Inspection of in process and completed product. I designed and am directly responsible for several Microsoft Excel workbooks that are reported to the customer daily, including work in process and inventory. I created label templates for shipping product to our customers, and authored the procedure to do so using Microsoft Word.

I was promoted to Expert Assembler. My duties consisted of acting as a Lead in the Box Build area, applying all knowledge and duties from lower levels, as well as ECO/TDA creation, quote verification, and covering for the Supervisor during his absence. I have been trained in IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 and WHMA/IPC-620. In summer 2014 I transferred to the Surface Mount department where I have been trained to operate Mydata and Universal Advantis Pick and Place, Dek Screen Printers, Vitronics Reflow Ovens, and YesTech AOI machine. I have been trained to do some programming on the Mydata and the YesTech.

I transitioned from contract employee to direct labor. This position requires component identification, reading and following documentation, inspection, team work, hand soldering of through-hold and SMT components, applying various hardware and chemicals when called for. Building cables and cable assemblies using prints or on-line documents, hand crimping tools, and wire boards. Training people to work in the department and in various procedures using CRM and on-line documentation. Working as a Captain, directing fellow employees in techniques and teaching skills to complete the work. Taking part in first-time (prototype and pilot) builds, assisting in documenting the processes and skills required for a quality product.

While working for Volt, I was assigned to TDP, Inc. as a Master Assembler in the High Volume Box Build area. I assembled products varying from small and fairly simple, to large and very complex using on-line documentation, customer-provided documentation, and BOMs. I became a Captain, which involves setting up the lines prior to a build, final inspection of product coming off of the line, ensuring that the line has everything it needs, and adjusting the line as needed to maintain balance. I train employees new to our department. I use Syspro on a daily basis for posting time to work orders, checking stock on parts and closing work orders.

I was given the opportunity to return to work with RPM following an unexpected ramp-up in customer orders. I worked in the Add-On department, which required the use of soldering irons, torque drivers, screwdrivers, nut drivers, and other hand tools on occasion. I also used a computer to look up documentation for the builds, to confirm transactions and for various other purposes.
