Partnered with attorneys to provide superior service with respect to estate administration. Duties included analyzing wills and revocable trusts to determine dispositive provisions, preparing probate petition and related documents for filing in Surrogate's Court in person or e-filing, obtaining date of death and alternate valuations, maintaining checkbooks for partners serving as executor or trustee and monitoring distributions to beneficiaries. I also drafted documents including Release of Lien and Receipt, Release and Refunding Agreement. I worked with a supporting organization of a U.K. charity and monitored its bank account for donations, drafted acknowledgment letters to donors, wired funds to the U.K. charity for grant requests upon the approval of the directors, assembled information for the accountant for his use in preparing IRS Form 990-EZ and NY CHAR 500 and resolving compliance issues raised by the bank's KYC department. I was a resource for information regarding IRA accounts and avoided a 50% income tax penalty by paying out the decedent's RMD prior to the end of the year of death. I also worked with the attorneys on the timing of IRA distributions and prepared the paperwork for transfer to the beneficiaries. My experience with estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax enabled me to advise attorneys of certain elections including the reverse QTIP election, which resulted in the allocation of excess generation skipping tax exemption to the marital trust. I collaborated with the fiduciary accountants by preparing Excel spreadsheets of transactions for checkbooks maintained by outside executors. I also provided them with information required to prepare the estate tax returns and reviewed the returns. I prepared trust data reports and crummy notices for the insurance trusts for partners.

I managed trusts, estates and guardianships as part of a holistic team approach to wealth management. Types of trusts included revocable trusts, testamentary trusts (credit shelter, QTIP), GST-exempt and non-exempt, special needs trusts and insurance trusts.I met with existing clients and attended prospect meeting with the Wealth Advisor, Portfolio Manage, Wealth Strategist and Financial Advisor. I provided intense client focus and superior technical skills, which enabled me to generated $500K in recurring revenue and significant one-time fees from a single high net worth client. I represented the bank in court with respect to litigation and negotiated very favorable terms for the bank's resignation as trustee. I was selected by the Manager to serve as a member of the Personal Trust and Investment Committee responsible for approving discretionary distributions from trusts. I substituted for the Chairperson in her absence. I was chosen as a Concord Elite Winner in 2012 for top production. I exceeded my annual goal of $275K with sales revenue of $569,237. I coordinated with legal and risk management teams, ensuring my accounts were in compliance with the bank's policies and procedures.

I oversaw trusts, estates and foundations for ultra high net worth clients, several in the context of large family relationships exceeding $1B. I prepared opening account paperwork, coordinated with operations teams and worked with outside advisors on directed trusts to purchase special assets. I worked directly with one ultra high net worth client on her gifting strategy, enabling her to make stock gifts in a timely and tax-efficient manner.
