Over three years experience working in Local Authority Emergency Planning & Resilience and engaging in multi-agency collaborative working, training and exercising through the Local Resilience Forum. Recently completed the DBCI Diploma in Business Continuity with Buckinghamshire New University, allowing me to undertake further responsibilities for internal planning and business continuity contract work with partnering organisations. Worked within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight LRF Risk work stream between October 2019-2022. Between October 2019 and September 2020, I localised the 2019 National Security and Risk Assessment on behalf of the work stream and delivered subsequent training to the risk authors to support implementation of the new risk assessment methodology. Building on this, between September 2020 and October 2022, undertook the work stream lead role, gaining experience in leadership and work programme management. During my tenure as lead, I ensured all risks were adequately assessed despite pressures from the Covid-19 pandemic response, developed a new system for risk authoring which was applied across Hampshire and Thames Valley, provided oversight of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight LRF Shaping Resilience public risk communication projects and managed the Innovation Funding project, looking into bespoke community level communication plans, which was undertaken in partnership with the University of Portsmouth. BSc (Hons) Geological Hazards & MSc Crisis and Disaster Management Graduate from the University of Portsmouth; gaining practicable experience of Community Resilience and Public Risk Communication through a student placement with Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service while studying.
